Anima is one of those unique early Flash games that showed how game visuals and presentation didn’t have to mimic established “video game aesthetics” like those found in video arcades or on home consoles (eg: Nintendo, Sega, etc. Heli Attack 2 as an example). The design is minimalist and peaceful with simple but unique play goals and mechanics.
I like to think that it’s early Flash games like this that later inspired similar aesthetics in some famous Apple iPhone games like Monument Valley or Green.
