This deceptively simple looking game explores a clever play mechanic, similar to another classic Flash game here at Play Some Games called Cursor*10.
In Back Platformer, you control the retro Atari style character using the cursor keys to get to the yellow orb. Once you do that, you get transported back to the beginning and then you must repeat the objective, while also avoiding a “rewinding” version of your previous run, shown as a blackened version of your player sprite. If you touch, you have to start over.
Successful repetitions of this (reaching the goal while avoiding previous shadow-runs of yourself) are the main goal in each level. How many runs can you survive?
