OK so Flash games were known to pioneer some experimental game play mechanics, be that rage-quit games, match-3, one-touch or one-button games, etc but this one is very unique. So much so I don’t think it has “commercial” potential but the concept is still quite interesting to play around with, if not a bit mind-bending:
You get to play classic Tetris but there are THREE pieces in play at the same time. You switch which piece to control using the Z or X key and the cursors keys to move it left, right or down. It takes quite the mental gymnastics to keep track of 3 tetrominos at the same time, but thankfully the game shows red outlines where the pieces will land.
With some practice you can even go so far as to maneuver a piece under another.
The game isn’t pretty to look at, but there’s definitely something here to try out a few times, if not for the entertainment, then for study of the gameplay mechanics and how it impacts “fun”.
